Nice!
i almost missed this in my last post, but i just realized how important and must list it.
paragraph 14 from jan 15, 2010 wt last article entitled "jehovah's way of ruling vindicated".
"a few anointed members of "the israel of god" still remain, and as jesus' brothers, they continue to act as "ambassadors substituting for christ (2 cor 5:20) they have been appointed as a faithful and discreet slave class to care for and provide spiritual food for annointed ones and a growing crowd of christians, who now include millions having the hope of living on earth forever.

Nice!
when people start threads by posting a link such as youtube or news, do you go there to see what they want you to see?
or, would you prefer that they ran a short intro or summary for you?
do you think that there is laziness on one side or the other?.
Hey Miz, the following link may help you to post hyperlinks. It's meant for an iPad or iPhone but may work for other tablets and phones too.
It's worth a shot.

i was just on the new jw.org site and i have to say, they've done a good job.
it looks pretty sleek and is easy to navigate.
the production values of their magazines (in particular the photos) seems to have improved since i last spent much time on the site.
LOL @ TheStumbler Exactly!
They love to use illustrations like this or even one such as the host waiting for the dinner guests to arrive.
What they fail to interject is logic. How long should one wait after the perceived or obvious "delay"? At a certain point it only makes sense to give up.
Jackholes.
i love this show.
been hooked since the first episode.
for anyone who follows, i captured a bit of tonight's episode.
LOL My pleasure poppers! Glad I could share this with the peeps here.

No problem at all poppers. I'm all caught up now with season 7 of Dexter because of it.
Here's is the link to the rest of the shows that are available, in case anyone is interested.

Once you find the show you want and click on the link, go under the season/episode number you want and click the stream link.
It will work on an iPhone/iPad. You just have to give it a little time to load depending on your internet speed.

I forgot it was on last night. Oh well, Showtime will air it all week. No biggie.
there have been several threads about music the last few days, so i decided to start another.. this song absolutely makes me tear up every time i hear it.. .

i don't believe the bible is inerrant nor do i hold a 'christian worldview' any longer as my profile details say (which i am unable to update on my profile), but i just can't see how anyone can be absolutely 100% confident there is nothing out there we can call a 'god' or spirit creature in the face of endless first-hand accounts of paranormal and occult experiences that felt as 'real' to the person who experienced them as anything else in their lives.. there are untold reports of ghosts, faith-healing, ouija boards, seances, spirit mediums, stigmata, mystical born-again experiences, speaking in tongues, and then there's hypnotism, ufo sightings, poltergeists, remote viewing, etc, etc.
ok, so its mostly only anecdotal evidence, but the amount of it is so overwhelming it is practically corroborating evidence.
in the face of all this, how can anyone categorically assert that there is nothing out there that is beyond ourselves that we might call a 'god' or spirit creature?
OTWO said - I default to logical answers until they are proven wrong.
I like that! LOL It's so much easier than trying to explain or defend what doesn't make sense. Thanks!

recently i told you all that i wanted to e-mail two friends some of the things i was struggling with in an effort to help them wake up or at least for them to understand me...97% of you all told me that it was a bad idea.
i still decided to do it.
so i e-mailed her sincerely asking questions on five points---1) health care flip flops 2) false prophecies 3) mediatorship of jesus 4) un 5)1918.. she replied about 8 hours after.
MsGG20 - Rephrase your question. You asked, what if they're right and I'm wrong?
Start with being positive and ask yourself instead, what if I'm right and they're wrong? Give yourself some credit about waking up! LOL
Then if you haven't already, read Ray Franz's and Steve Hassan's books and confirm your stand to yourself - it won't matter to your faithful friends, unless you choose to continue to be a JW.
It's nice you want to help your friends. But it is usually an uphill, if not losing, battle.
Good luck.

for those waiting and wondering what my situation is right now.
here is an illustration i think kind of explains it well.
feel free to chime in what you think would be the right thing to do.
